Asian Studies Asia-Europe Relations: Exploring Business Opportunities

"Asian Studies Asia-Europe Relations: Exploring Business Opportunities," offered by the Institute of the Middle and Far East, Jagiellonian University in Krakow (Poland), is an original program combining a spectrum of economic, social and cultural issues, with addition of an efficient command of Asian languages, necessary for any effective professional interaction.

The prospective Graduates of the "Asia-Europe Relations: Exploring Business Opportunities" programme will gain knowledge regarding the main aspects of international relations understood from a business perspective. The program, which takes into account historical and cultural contexts of the main actors of Asia-Europe relations, is based on such subjects as: international environment, participants of international relations, political and economic situation.

During the programme, emphasis will be placed on the state, society and economy of the major EU member states, the countries of East Asia, and the member countries of ASEAN community. Additionally, the program will focus on the development of analytical and communication skills.

The "Asia-Europe Relations: Exploring Business Opportunities" programme prepares the Graduates to work as analysts and middle-ranking officers in international corporations and institutions, as well as national institutions engaged in the cooperation between Asia and Europe, or in NGOs involved in the analysis of international situation, in both global and regional perspective.

The knowledge and skills obtained by the programme Graduates may be particularly valuable for Asian companies operating in Europe, as well as European companies present on the Asian markets.

Persons eligible to apply for the program are the holders of a higher education diploma (at least undergraduate) in the fields of the humanities and social sciences. Documented knowledge of English is also required.
