Zainteresowania badawcze: najnowsza historia Korei, Zimna Wojna w Azji Wschodniej, studia nad wywiadem, geopolityka

Marek Hańderek, obronił doktorat z nauk humanistycznych na Wydziale Historycznym UJ w kwietniu 2018 r. Absolwent podyplomowego studium z zakresu bezpieczeństwa narodowego na AON (obecnie Akademia Sztuki Wojennej). Przygotowuje książkę na temat zaangażowania Polski w Komisji Nadzorczej Państw Neutralnych w Korei w okresie Zimnej Wojny. Jej podstawową bazę źródłową będą stanowiły materiały archiwalne polskie, czeskie, amerykańskie i brytyjskie. Założenia pracy zostały zaprezentowane m.in. w trakcie warsztatów naukowych w Seulu oraz konferencji w Budapeszcie. Współpracownik „North Korea International Documentation Project” realizowanego przez Wilson Center w Waszyngtonie.

Marek Hańderek PhD

Assistant Professor at the Institute of the Middle and Far East of the Jagiellonian University

Research interests: Modern Korean history, Cold War in East Asia, Intelligence studies, Geopolitics  

Marek Hańderek received his PhD in history from Jagiellonian Univerity in April 2018. He is currently working on a book concerning Polish participation in the Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission in Korea during the Cold War. His research is based on Polish, Czech, American and British archival sources. He has presented his findings on this field during "The Korean History Workshop for Overseas Doctoral Students" held by Korea Foundation in Seoul as well as during the "Need to Know" VII Conference in Budapest. He cooperates with Woodrow Wilson’s “North Korea International Documentation Project”.
