Ks. Prof. dr hab. Krzysztof Tadeusz Kościelniak, kierownik Katedry Bliskiego Wschodu i Afryki Północnej w Instytucie Bliskiego i Dalekiego Wschodu UJ, w latach 2012-2016 dyrektor Instytutu BiDW, orientalista, arabista, historyk. Jego zainteresowania badawcze obejmują m.in. historię Orientu, nurty i ruchy religijne Bliskiego i Dalekiego Wschodu, problemy współczesnego islamu oraz konflikty religijne w Azji i na Bliskim Wschodzie.

Prof. Dr. Krzysztof Tadeusz Kościelniak, Chair for the Middle East and North Africa at the Institute of the Middle and Far East, Jagiellonian University in Krakow, in the years 2012-2016 director of the same Institute. He specializes in Oriental Studies, Arabic Studies and History. His main research interests include history of Orient, religious currents and movements of the Middle and Far East, problems of contemporary Islam, and religious conflicts in Asia and the Middle East.
